Once Upon a Dream
Once upon a time, in the land of my dream
There was a young Knight who searched for his Queen
He followed his quest and he searched all lands through
He searched for his love, he knew would be true.
She has eyes like diamonds, yet dark and so deep
The window of her soul, shows a beauty so sweet
She has hair like an angel, both raven and long
She brings to my heart, love's simple song.
He sought out a wizard, to conjure a spell,
To find this fair princess, that in his heart dwells.
He begged this magician, by all that is right,
Find me my love, my soul's true delight.
She has beauty unequaled, by all in all time,
Her soul is so perfect, it must be with mine,
The wizard did tell him, that this lady he loved,
Was not a mere princess, but an angel from above.
He said all the magic I have in my power
Cannot make this perfection, in any number of hours
He said you should ask for the heavens to send
One of God’s perfect creatures, for your quest to end.
So he prayed long and hard, for 40 long years
He knelt and he begged, and cried many tears.
And finally God looked, at a love that was true
And released from his heaven, a creature like you.

Araw ng Kagitingan!
Araw ng Kagitingan (English:"Day of Valour") is a national holiday in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan during World War II. It falls annually on April 9, although in 2009 President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo moved it to April 6 in order to create a long weekend.
The majority of the prisoners of war were immediately robbed of their keepsakes and belongings and subsequently forced to endure a 90-mile (140 km) march in deep dust over vehicle-broken macadam roads and crammed into rail cars to captivity at Camp O'Donnell. En route, thousands died from dehydration, heat prostration, untreated wounds, and wanton execution.
Those few who were lucky enough to travel on trucks to San Fernando would still have to endure more than 25 additional miles of marching. Prisoners were beaten randomly and often denied promised food and water. Those who fell behind were usually executed or left to die; the sides of the roads became littered with dead bodies and those moaning for assistance.
On the Bataan Death March, approximately 54,000 of the 72,000 prisoners reached their destination. The death toll of the march is difficult to assess because thousands of captives were able to escape from their guards. All told, approximately 5,000-10,000 Filipino and 600-650 American prisoners of war died before they could reach Camp O'Donnell.

Jesus, thank you for dying for our sins on the cross. Father, what was done to you was reprehensible, but we know that it was necessary and that you gave yourself willingly, paying the price for our sins. Thank you for your Word:
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 3:23 …for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…
God, none of us deserve to spend eternity with you, but you gave your Son to us as a sacrifice for our sins…

Heavenly Father; in the holy name of your
Son Jesus, crucified for my
sins, and in the Love of the Holy Spirit, I come very humbly before you, with
sorrow for my sins. Through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I
offer you the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, which I live as I receive Him in the
Holy Eucharist.
Lord Jesus crucified; I humbly speak to you, in the Presence of Mary our Blessed Mother. I acknowledge that you suffered so much for me and for all, and that we are indebted to you forever.
Lord Jesus; I appreciate very much your sufferings for me and for the rest of humanity.
I thank you for saving me through your crushing pain, through your many wounds, through your tiredness and agony and through your Precious Blood shed with so much pain and love for us; through your difficulty to breath, through your sweat and tears, through your merciful patience, through every effort that you made and through your total offering for my sins and for the sins of the whole world.

On The Departure Platform
We kissed at the barrier, and passing through
She left me, and moment by moment got
Smaller and smaller, until to my view
She was but a spot;
A wee white spot of muslin fluff
That doun the diminishing platform bore
Through hustling crowds of gentle and rough
To the carriage door.
Under the lamplight's fitful glowers,
Behind dark groups from far and near,
Whose interests were apart from ours,
She would disappear,
Then show again, till ceased to see
That flexible from, that nebulous white;
And she who was more then my life to me
Had vanished quite.
We have penned new plans since that fair fond day,
And in season she will appear again -
Perhaps in the same soft white array -
But never as then!
-'And why, young man, must eternally fly
A joy you'll repeat, if you love her well?'
- O friend, nought happens twice thus; why,
I cannot tell!

Though nurtur'd 'mid weeds dropping pestilent dew,
Till Time crops the leaves with unmerciful knife,

In vain, with endearments, we soothe the sad heart,
In vain do we vow for an age to be true;

I have a wall you cannot see

The Water Cycle
Water on Earth is always changing. Its repeating changes make a
cycle. As water goes through its cycle, it can be a solid (ice),
a liquid (water), or a gas (water vapor). Ice can change to become
water or water vapor. Water can change to become ice or water vapor.
Water vapor can change to become ice or water.
How do these changes happen? Adding or subtracting heat makes the cycle work. If heat is added to ice, it melts. If heat is added to water, it evaporates. Evaporation turns liquid water into a gas called water vapor.
If heat is taken away from water vapor, it condenses. Condensation turns water vapor into a liquid. If heat is taken away from liquid water, it freezes to become ice.
The water cycle is called the hydrologic cycle. In the hydrologic cycle, water from oceans, lakes, swamps, rivers, plants, and even you, can turn into water vapor. Water vapor condenses into millions of tiny droplets that form clouds. Clouds lose their water as rain or snow, which is called precipitation. Precipitation is either absorbed into the ground or runs off into rivers. Water that was absorbed into the ground is taken up by plants. Plants lose water from their surfaces as vapor back into the atmosphere. Water that runs off into rivers flows into ponds, lakes, or oceans where it evaporates back into the atmosphere.

The phosphate in the water is eventually precipitated as sediments at the bottom of the body of water. In certain lakes and ponds this may be redissolved and recyled as a problem nutrient.
- Animal wastes or manure may also be applied to the land as fertilizer. If misapplied on frozen ground during the winter, much of it may lost as run-off during the spring thaw. In certain area very large feed lots of animals, may result in excessive run-off of phosphate and nitrate into streams.
- Other human sources of phosphate are in the out flows from municipal sewage treatment plants. Without an expensive tertiary treatment, the phosphate in sewage is not removed during various treatment operations. Again an extra amount of phosphate enters the water.

The Water Cycle
Run and get a glass of water and put it on the
table next to you. Take a good long look at the water. Now -- can
you guess how old it is?

The water in your glass may have fallen from
the sky as rain just last week, but the water itself has been around
pretty much as long as the earth has!
When the first fish crawled out of the
ocean onto the land, your glass of water was part of that ocean.
When the Brontosaurus walked through lakes feeding on plants, your
glass of water was part of those lakes. When kings and princesses,
knights and squires took a drink from their wells, your glass of water was
part of those wells.
And you thought your parents were

The earth has a limited amount
of water. That water keeps going around and around and around and
around and (well, you
get the idea) in what we call the
"Water Cycle".
This cycle is made up of a few main parts:

| Evaporation: Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers or lakes or the ocean and turns it into vapor or steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goes into the air. |  |

Do plants sweat? Well, sort of.... people perspire (sweat) and plants transpire. Transpiration is the process by which plants lose water out of their leaves. Transpiration gives evaporation a bit of a hand in getting the water vapor back up into the air. |
| Condensation:
Water vapor in the
air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming
clouds. This
is called condensation.
You can see the same sort of thing at home... pour a glass of cold water on a hot day and watch what happens. Water forms on the outside of the glass. That water didn't somehow leak through the glass! It actually came from the air. Water vapor in the warm air, turns back into liquid when it touches the cold glass. |

Precipitation:
Precipitation
occurs when so much water has condensed that the
air cannot hold it anymore.
The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in
the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow.

| Collection:
When water falls back to earth as precipitation, it may fall
back in the oceans, lakes or rivers or it may end up on land.
When it ends up on land, it will either soak into the
earth and become part of the “ground water” that plants and
animals use to drink or it may run over the soil and collect in
the oceans, lakes or rivers where the cycle starts
all over again.
